A climber has been taken to hospital after falling 300ft from a gully in Ben Nevis.

A climber has been taken to hospital after falling 300ft from a gully in Ben Nevis.

Northern Constabulary was alerted at 10am today to the accident, which happened as the man was climbing the Green Gulley.

A mountain rescue team and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth recovered the man, who was taken to Belford Hospital, Fort William, for treatment.

Police said a second climber was also in hospital after falling 30ft in a separate incident on the mountain at about 12.50pm.

The woman was airlifted from the hill and taken to Belford Hospital for treatment.
