EU authorises vaccination in Holland

European Union veterinary experts have authorised a vaccination program around Dutch farms infected with foot-and-mouth.

Animals awaiting slaughter up to 2 kilometres around affected farms will now be inoculated, if the authorities cannot destroy the livestock fast enough.
