James Hanratty's body exhumed
British police today began exhuming the body of James Hanratty in a bid to find out once and for all whether he was guilty of murder.
Hanratty, 25, was sent to the gallows in 1962 for murder and rape. He was convicted of killing Michael Gregsten, a civil servant, and raping his lover, Valerie Storie, who was shot and left for dead but survived.
