One dies, dozen trapped in gold mine landslide

One gold miner has died and at least 12 more have been trapped after a landslide buried the entrance to a mine in the southern Philippines.

A torrential downpour triggered the slide in Mindanao's Compostela Valley, washed out roads and prevented heavy machinery from reaching the area to rescue the miners, who have been trapped since Saturday.
