Sega chairman dies of heart attack

Sega's president and chairman Isao Okawa has died aged 74.

Mr Okawa died in hospital in Tokyo after suffering a heart attack.

He hit the headlines in January after pledging £508 million of his own money to help the company avoid a cash shortage.

Mr Okawa's death comes as the company continues to undergo a major restructuring programme.

Early this year Sega called a halt to production of its Dreamcast console to concentrate on games publishing.
