Lawyers give closing arguments in Puff Daddy trial

Jurors in the Puff Daddy guns and bribery trial are expected to begin considering their verdict today.

Lawyers have been summing up at Manhattan Supreme Court in New York.

The rapper and his bodyguard Anthony "Wolf" Jones deny charges of gun possession following a New York nightclub shootout.

In his closing argument Puffy's lawyer Benjamin Brafman said the rapper is the innocent victim of "bad people" who sought to frame him to profit from multimillion-dollar lawsuits.

Brafman called into question most of the evidence given by the prosecution's witnesses.

He described one as "a pimp his entire life", another like "an extra from the Sopranos" and another like a "deadbeat dad".

"If ever there was a case where the reasonable doubt jumps off the page at you it's this case," Brafman told the jury.
