Details of Friends star Matthew Perry's 'mystery condition' emerge

Matthew Perry has entered his second week in a rehab clinic.

Last week it was reported the Friends star was being treated for a 'mystery condition'.

According to US Weekly magazine the 31-year-old who plays Chandler was not only addicted to the painkiller Vicodin but was also allegedly abusing speed and alcohol.

The magazine claims that Matthew began suffering from severe stomach pains when he was in Dallas filming Servicing Sarah with Liz Hurley.

A doctor was called in and advised him to go immediately to rehab.

US Weekly reports that his father, actor John Bennett Perry, took him to a renowned rehab centre in the city.

The star's publicist is refusing to comment on how he is, only saying that Matthew needs his privacy.
