Brown announces Election giveaway Budget

Chancellor Gordon Brown has put Labour on a General Election footing with a £4 billion family-friendly Budget.

He has unveiled a series of measures he claimed would boost standards of living and give children a better start in life. The Chancellor also announced £2bn in tax cuts and a further £2bn for schools and hospitals.
