Schoolgirl fell from building while fleeing rapists
A 16-year-old schoolgirl is in a coma in Malaysia after falling off the third floor of a house as she tried to escape four men who were trying to rape her.
City police chief Asst Comm Hamdan Mohamad said four men, including a 25-year-old prime suspect had been arrested in connection with the incident at Inanam.
The girl suffered serious head injuries and a broken neck after she climbed on to a window ledge and fell to the road below.
He said initial investigations showed that the girl, from Keningau, met an 18-year-old youth at Inanam and he had asked her to go for a walk, it is reported.
On the way, they came across the three men and the five of them went to the third floor of a shop at the Inanam Commercial Centre.
Once inside the unit, the men ordered the girl to strip. She refused and a fight broke out between her and the men and one of them was bitten during the scuffle.
