Train crash survivor returns to scene

A survivor of the Selby train crash has returned to the scene of the accident to see the devastation for himself.

The middle-aged man, accompanied by two policewomen, spent time looking at the mangled wreckage of the two trains.

A large cut could be seen on the top of his head and smaller cuts were visible on his face.

The man went over to examine the floral tributes left at the scene and examined the inscriptions.

A couple, described as friends of one of the passengers, then walked up the bridge overlooking the crash site.

Clearly distressed, they spent two minutes at the scene before hurrying away.
