France disinfects all cross-channel vehicles

France is disinfecting vehicles arriving by ferry from Britain to prevent foot-and-mouth disease spreading across the Channel.

Trucks carrying animals and freight were the first targets although the precautionary measures are due to be extended to all vehicles heading into France via the channel tomorrow.
