Fans want EastEnders on a Wednesday

EastEnders fans have voted for the new fourth weekly episode to be aired on a Wednesday.

Viewers say they would rather watch the extra installation of the BBC1 soap on that day than any other night.

They voted against showing the episode at the weekend in a poll by Inside Soap.

The weekend option is said to be favoured by the BBC.

If the Wednesday slot is chosen, EastEnders will be aired at 8pm.

Producers have already decided not to go head-to-head with Coronation Street or Emmerdale.
