Missing internet girl goes home

Thirteen-year-old Michaela Montague has returned home after a nationwide appeal to trace her sparked by fears that she had disappeared with a man she met via an Internet chatroom.

The youngster's family say she arrived back at the family home in Shirley, Southampton in Britain, just before noon, appearing safe and well.

Michaela's mother Sasha Bryant, 30, says she is relieved her daughter has returned, but would not comment further.

The teenager went missing from her home on Valentine's Day after visiting an internet cafe. It had been feared she had disappeared with a man she met via an online chatroom.

Police received unconfirmed sightings of her in Gosport, near Portsmouth, where the family used to live.

Pop stars the Backstreet Boys - Michaela's favourite band - issued an appeal for her to contact her parents.
