Teen dies after gunman opens fire on car

A teenager died and another was injured when a gunman opened fire on a car parked near a Liverpool nightclub.

Merseyside Police said a lone gunman fired on the car, with three men inside, in Skelhorne Street, in the city.

An 18-year-old man died and another, also 18, is being treated at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital for gunshot wounds to the stomach.

The car park has been sealed off as police officers conducted forensic tests. Police were appealing for witnesses.
