Gaddafi must pay compensation for Lockerbie

Britain and the United States have insisted that sanctions against Libya cannot finally be lifted until it accepts responsibility for the Lockerbie bombing.

British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook said Britain and the US were committed to securing Libyan compliance with the requirements of the United Nations Security Council.
