£2.6m damages for E.coli boy

A young boy left brain damaged after contracting E.coli on a school visit to a farm has been awarded £2.6m agreed High Court damages.

Tom Dowling was perfectly fit and well before the trip from Edgware Infants School in north London to Bowman's Open Farm, near St Albans, Herts, in June 1997, his counsel, Lord Brennan QC, told Mr Justice Buckley.
