Saddam to make TV appearance despite stroke rumours
Saddam Hussein is to make a television appearance following reports that he has suffered a stroke.
The Iraqi leader will deliver a televised speech to mark the 10th anniversary of the Gulf War.
The Iraqi News Agency said: "President Hussein is to address ... a historical speech to our great people, our brave armed forces and men and women who volunteered to liberate Palestine".
It said the speech will be broadcast on Iraqi television, radio and on the internet.
The health rumours began when television screens went blank on New Year's Eve.
It is thought Saddam collapsed at a televised military parade in the capital Baghdad.
