A California primary school has 13 sets of twins.

Eight of the pairs at the Roy Loudon Elementary School in Bakersfield are identical.

They are kept in separate classes to stop them confusing teachers.

School officials can't explain the high incidence of twins.

But Tannie Bacon, a mother of twins, said: "It must be something in the water out here."
