Earthquake rocks Central America

Radio stations in San Salvador were forced off air as a severe earthquake rocked Central America, cutting power in the city.

The earthquake cracked buildings, shattered windows and threw furniture around throughout El Salvador and was felt strongly in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Mobile phones were also unable to work.
