Edited films hired out by squeaky clean rental firm
Two shops called CleanFlicks are hiring out "wholesome" videos with sex and violence cut from hit films like Titanic and Matrix.
Former sports presenter Ray Lines is offering people the chance to hire out up to150 sanitised videos.
Customers can either contact him via his website at www.cleanflicks.com or the CleanFlicks stores in Orem and Pleasant Grove, Utah.
But Mr Lines believes there are some films that just can't be edited.
"No matter how you edit Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts is still a prostitute and spends a week living with Richard Gere. You can't edit that out of a movie," Mr Lines said.
"I'd like to see CleanFlicks in every video store in the world so people can have access to these [edited] movies," said Mr Lines.
There is great demand for the movies in mostly Mormon Utah County.
The business has grown to the point where Mr Lines is editing 50 or more videos a week.
Customer Mike Eisenstat said: "This is the best thing since the invention of the VCR. There are a lot of great movies out there, but there is no way I could see them or allow them in my home unless they were edited. They have too much filth and language."
