Iraq 'buys Isreali goods' despite Saddam's call for war
Saddam Hussein's son claims his father's government is buying commodities from Israel, despite Saddam's calls for a holy war or Jihad against Jews.
A memo from Uday Hussein to the Iraqi National Council asked if purchasing Israeli products was correct policy.
Saddam Hussein was missing from a line-up of the Iraqi leadership at the annual Army Day in Baghdad on Saturday, sparking new concerns over his health after opposition leaders claimed last week that he had suffered a stroke.
But he appeared later on television and spoke about the Iran-Iraq war and the Gulf war, it is reported.
