EC demands truth about Balkans uranium ammunition

The European Commission needs to know the truth about the use of depleted uranium in the Balkans, its president, Romano Prodi, says.

His comments come as fear grows in Italy over a possible link between the use of depleted uranium ammunition in Bosnia and Kosovo and several cancer related deaths and illnesses of soldiers who served there.
