Big Brother's Caroline 'broke and depressed'

Big Brother's Caroline O'Shea has been suffering from depression after failing to cash in on TV fame.

The gameshow contestant has been unable to find a cash backer for a proposed pop album, and claims she is still in dispute with Channel 4 over money.

Big Brother winner Craig Phillips, and "Nasty" Nick Bateman have gone on to make fortunes from book, video and record deals, the Daily Star reports.

Former sex-aid seller Caroline, 37, is pinning her hopes on deals she is working on for a record and a book - but says she is still strapped for cash.

She said: "People think I'm a millionairess because I've been on TV and to a few showbiz parties. But that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm even arguing with Channel 4 over money they owe me.

"After Big Brother, I was on a high - then a few weeks later I got very depressed. I now read about Craig and Nick and can believe they will each make a million. But I have made nothing like that. I don't think people realise this. I was at a clothes sale recently when a shop assistant recognised me and seemed surprised I was bargain-hunting."

But she added: "I did love my time on Big Brother and have no regrets."
