Nice massacre: Baby found amid chaos

A baby, aged just eight months, who became separated from his parents as the horror unfolded, has been reunited with his family thanks to social media.

A woman called Tiava Banner — who it is understood is not the mother of the little boy — took to Facebook in a desperate bid to find the baby, who had last been seen in a blue stroller. And the appeal, shared thousands of times, worked.

A family member told the French news agency AFP: “A young woman found him and took him home with her. She then went online and found the photo of the baby on Facebook.”

Child and parents have been reunited, but other families are still attempting to track down loved ones using social media.

As many as 10 children were among the dead and many more were injured.
