Caught on camera: Girl, 3, practices ‘lockdown’ drill for school shootings

A Michigan mother who thought her daughter was simply playing while standing on a toilet seat has revealed she was unaware the three-year-old was practicing a drill for what to do in the event of an active shooter entering a school.

Stacey Feeley decided to share the picture, which she said broke her heart, as part of a commentary on modern America — children practicing how to hide from a potential attacker.

“I said, ‘What are you doing? Why are you standing on the toilet?’” Feeley told ABC News. When her daughter replied, ‘Lockdown. You have to be really quiet,’ Feeley said: “It just broke me down.”
