QUIRKY WORLD ... 87-year-old takes leap of faith with birthday skydive

USA: A Massachusetts woman can check something off her bucket list: She celebrated her 87th birthday by skydiving.

The Recorder reports Janis Lefebre’s children bought her the skydiving package from Jumptown, a skydiving centre based in Orange, after learning that jumping out of a plane was something she always wanted to do.

A crowd of family and friends gathered to cheer on Ms Lefebre’s descent from 13,500 ft.
