Mick Jagger’s ex says rock star is ‘close’ to their son

Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez has spoken warmly about the bond between her son, Lucas, and his father, Mick Jagger.

Lucas Morad Jagger, 17, is the result of a brief relationship between Ms Gimenez and the Rolling Stones frontman.

The liaison ended Jagger’s 22-year relationship with Jerry Hall.

Ms Hall, 59, married media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 85, in March.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Ms Gimenez said father and son are “close”.

“Lucas and Mick are really close and Mick is a wonderful dad,” she said from her home in Sao Paulo.

“I like to raise my child with his dad, with his help and advice.

“He’s a very wise man and he is passionate about his kids. He has always been there and that has been a really great experience.”

Ms Gimenez, 46, said her son has inherited his famous father’s looks.

“He’s very handsome,” she told the magazine. “He’s going to be a heartbreaker. He’s got the lips, the wonderful part that has passed on through generations, but I think he looks like me.”

Jagger and the Brazilian actress have a good friendship. Her husband, Marcelo de Carvalho, invited the much-admired rock star to stay with them.

“When we had the World Cup in Brazil, my husband, who I love very much and who is a big part of Lucas’ life, invited Mick to stay, because we’re friends and it’s possible to be friends with your ex-boyfriend,” she said.

“That was such a big thing for Lucas.”
