Madonna fan ‘won’t sue’ after breast exposed at gig
Fortunately for Madonna, Josephine Georgiou has called it “the best moment” of her life. The Material Girl invited the 17-year-old on to the stage. “She’s the kind of girl you just want to slap on the ass and pull,” Madonna said. She then tugged Josephine’s top, accidentally revealing her left breast to the entire world before the incident quickly went viral.
“Oh shit! I am so sorry,” Madonna cried. “Sexual harassment! You can do the same to me if you like.”
However, the teenager will not be taking legal action. “Seriously, why would I sue Madonna for the best moment of my life?” she told Australia’s Courier-Mail.
Josephine said the top, which belongs to her mother, was too big.
“Only I get to decide if I’m humiliated or not. Why would people assume I am humiliated by my own breast, nipple or body?” she stated. However, the incident has caused a huge stir and is the latest disaster to hit the Australia leg of Madonna’s Rebel Heart tour.
Madonna has hit out at the bad press she received for the previous night’s performance in Brisbane which saw her hit the stage nearly three hours late.
She took issue with the “late police” who, she said, “had me arrested and thrown in jail for life”. She then swore profusely.
Last week, Madonna kept fans waiting for more than three hours in Melbourne.
On Thursday, fans were probably relieved to have spent only 20 minutes waiting for the star.
The 57-year-old wrote off her much-publicised performance in Melbourne, in which she was accused of being “drunk” on stage, as “acting”.
“Too bad people don’t know the art of acting and playing a character,” the Queen of Pop wrote on Instagram.
“I could never do any of my shows high or drunk. And yes, underlying all of this is sexism and misogyny, which proves that not only do we not get equal pay, but we are still treated like heretics if we step out of line and think outside the box!
“Sexism is alive and kicking but I am #livingforlove,” she said in her message.
