The home of a grandmother who staked a claim to a £33m lottery jackpot in England has had her house pelted with eggs after Camelot shattered her dream after revealing a mystery punter had come forward with the winning golden ticket.

Susanne Hinte, from Warndon, Worcester, who is facing a criminal trial after being accused of stealing a purse and an Xbox controller, has not been seen in public since she claimed she had a winning ticket that had gone through the wash in her trousers.

At 9.30am yesterday, an angry man who called her a “horrible person” pulled up outside her house and started throwing eggs.
