Bond star Roger Moore admits to being stirred by Her Majesty’s legs
Proving it is not just his on-screen counterpart who is At Her Majesty’s Service, the 88-year-old named the monarch as his dream dinner date.
Moore, best known for portraying the womanising secret agent during the 1970s and ’80s, said he once admired her legs as she boarded a plane.
Speaking in an interview with the Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine, he said he made the observation at a Unicef campaign.
He said: “We met many times but I remember I met her at a Unicef campaign and she was mounting the steps of a 747 plane in front of me.
“I couldn’t help but notice that she had beautiful legs.
“I will probably get my head chopped off for saying that.”
Moore also elaborated on previous comments about Idris Elba not being a right fit for the next Bond, which provoked accusations of racism. He praised the Luther star as a fine actor, but again said he did not think he was what 007 creator Ian Fleming had in mind for James Bond, adding that this also applied to Sean Connery.
