Rugby World Cup tops internet search list in UK

The Rugby World Cup has been named the most searched item by Yahoo users in the UK, as the search engine announced its annual year in review results showcasing internet habits.

Despite an early exit for hosts England, the tournament was the most searched term across all categories in 2015, with Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton second and EastEnders third.

Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson was next on the list, followed by Celebrity Big Brother, Wimbledon 2015, and Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid. The late singer Cilla Black, Caitlyn Jenner, and Coronation Street complete the top 10 .
