Civil rights campaigner Jesse Jackson visited WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange inside the embassy where he has been living for over three years.

The American spent over an hour talking to the WikiLeaks founder in the Ecuador Embassy in London.

Afterwards he said: “800 years after the Magna Carta, freedom of the press is right and detention without charges is wrong.” Mr Assange is wanted for questioning in Sweden over a sex related allegation but fears being transferred to the United States over the activities of WikiLeaks.
