Storm chaser Bryan Snider got a little more than he bargained for while filming a timelapse of a storm in the US.

VIDEO: Ultra-rare ‘rain bomb’ caught on film

Brian was videoing the storm as it passed over Tucson, Arizona earlier this month when he captured a rare wet microburst on film. A wet microburst when a cooled column of air, accompanied by significant precipitation, sinks rapidly through the middle of a thunder storm.

The phenomenon is more commonly know as a ’rain bomb’ and can bring with it winds of up to 150mph.
