Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe has sent hundreds of letters to female devotees from his cell in Broadmoor, including a Valentine’s card to one to say he loves her.

Sutcliffe, who is serving a life sentence after murdering 13 women and attempting to kill seven more between 1975 and 1980, told some he would love to spend time with them and urged others to visit him behind bars, according to the Sun newspaper.

In one note, Sutcliffe also suggested there is “something not quite right” about the disappearance of three-year-old Madeleine McCann in Portugal in 2007 and alluded to discredited theories at the time falsely incriminating her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann.
