Woman to appear on $10 note in US

The US Department of the Treasury has confirmed that the process to feature a woman’s face on paper currency will commence.

However, instead of replacing Andrew Jackson, seventh president to the US, on the $20 bill as expected, the change will be seen on the $10 note.

The identity of the woman has yet to be determined but Secretary Jacob J Lew will reveal the portrait later this year.
