Colorado shootings spark fears of serial killer

Police in northern Colorado are investigating any possible link between the killing of a man on a neighbourhood sidewalk and previous shootings of a cyclist and a driver.

Colorado shootings spark fears of serial killer

Police and the FBI refused to comment on the possibility of a serial shooter. But they have offered a $10,000 (€8,900) reward for information on the first two unsolved shootings, which authorities say are related — though they won’t say how.

In the latest case, William Connole, 65, was found on a sidewalk in Loveland, about 50 miles north of Denver.

The bicyclist, John Jacoby, 48, was shot dead on May 18 along a rural road in Windsor. On April 22, Cori Romero, 21, was driving on Interstate 25 when she was shot in the neck but she survived.

All three shootings occurred within 30km of each other.
