Sandra Bullock named as most beautiful woman 2015

People magazine has named Sandra Bullock as the World’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2015.

The 50-year-old actress, who voices a supervillain in the upcoming movie Minions, tops the magazine’s list, announced yesterday.

Commenting on being selected for this year’s cover, Bullock said she just laughed when she heard about the honour.

“No, really. I just said, ‘That’s ridiculous’. I’ve told no one.”

The Oscar-winning actress is busy being a mother to five-year-old son, Louis, whom she adopted in New Orleans in 2010, and said their quiet family life is a world away from the pressures Hollywood can put on women to look good.

“Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it’s just so hard not to say, ‘Oh, I need to look like that’,” she said.

Bullock won the decade of hotness trophy at the Guys Choice Awards in 2014. And despite being the World’s Most Beautiful Woman, she said the greatest compliment she has had is from Louis.

“I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I’m old and grey and more wrinkly than I am now, I’ll still love him and want to tuck him in.

“And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, ‘Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.’ And he touched my face and said, ‘You’re not old, you’re just happy’.”
