George W. to stay out of brother Jeb’s way
âItâs an easy line to say, âHavenât we had enough Bushes?â After all, even my mother said, âYesâ,â Bush said at a conference for information-technology professionals in Chicago, according to Politico.
âThatâs why you wonât see me out there, and he doesnât need to defend me, and heâs totally different from me. The role of family is not to be a political adviser or a policy adviser â there are plenty of those around.
âThe role is to say, âHey man, I love youâ.â
Jeb Bush, the Republican former governor of Florida, has walked a fine line when it comes to his brother and father as he explores a presidential campaign.
âI love my father and my brother...but I am my own man,â Jeb Bush said in a February speech.
âDo you have brothers and sisters? Are you exactly the same?â he asked another audience in March.
