The victim was alleged to have had a pre-marital relationship with the man’s sister.

Akin Tokdenir, 18, and his father Ahmet are being held on suspicion of murdering 16-year-old Onur Sandal, whose body was discovered in a forest at the beginning of the month.

The victim, a plumber, went missing last November. His remains were found buried in a wooded area in the western city of Denizli.

According to reports the 18-year-old presented himself to police to confess to murder. His father, who is accused of being an accomplice, was later held by investigators and confessed.

Tests showed Sandal had been stabbed 65 times and had been tortured.

Investigators said the victim’s lungs were filled with soil — meaning he had to have been alive while he was buried.
