No plan to reduce parking charges at Kerry hospital

Despite calls from local politicians and the public, the HSE has no plans to reduce parking charges at Kerry General Hospital in Tralee.

A HSE spokesman said a range of patients had free, or reduced, parking and income from the carpark was “hugely important” to the maintenance of services in the hospital.

Parking generated €2.5m in the last four years, including €537,000 in 2013.
