Trinity Mirror has agreed to pay compensation to a string of celebrities over alleged phone hacking.

The publisher of titles including the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and Sunday People has settled six claims made by figures including former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, actor Christopher Eccleston and David and Victoria Beckham’s former nanny Abbie Gibson.

It has also agreed to pay ex-footballer Garry Flitcroft, celebrity agent Phil Dale, and Christie Roche, the wife of actor Shane Ritchie.
