Bachelor prince still searching for his Cinderella

Despite being an eligible bachelor who has turned the heads of many, Prince Harry is likely to celebrate his 30th birthday as a single man.

His last serious relationship was with Cressida Bonas, with whom he split in April, but many royal watchers thought it would be his previous long-term love Chelsy Davy who would become a royal bride.

Both relationships ended amicably, but it appears dating someone while under the scrutiny of the public does not lead to wedding bells for Harry.

There are reports that he has a new girlfriend called Camilla Thurlow, 25, but it remains to be seen if the rumours are more than just speculation.

Zimbabwean-born Chelsy spent around six years dating Harry. They coped with a long-distance relationship while the prince was training in the army and overseas and while Chelsy was at university in South Africa.

Harry described Chelsy as “very special” and “amazing”, but he was protective and determined to keep his private life under wraps.

Older brother, the Duke of Cambridge once described him as “just a young lad who is madly in love” — and in interviews to mark his 21st birthday, Harry himself spoke about Chelsy for the first time.

“I get to see how upset she gets and I know the real her. Unfortunately, I can’t turn round to the press, I can’t turn to people and say ‘Listen, she’s not like that, she’s like this’,” Harry said.

The prince added: “My girlfriend is somebody who’s very special to me and, yes, she’s gone through some very hard times. No, I’m not going to talk about it.”

The prince was also linked to TV presenter Caroline Flack.

Chelsy was not thought to be keen on the idea of royal life.
