See what it's like to fly through an aurora on the ISS

This beautiful timelapse video was created from photographs taken by astronauts on board the International Space Station (ISS).

German astronaut Alexander Gerst, who is on the ISS with the European Space Agency, said: “We flew right through a massive aurora after last week’s solar mass ejection.”

It’s only short so you’ve definitely got time to watch it, and just so you know, the video is silent.
