VIDEO: Viral clip shows singers’ incredible ability for celebrity impressions

Rob Cantor, born in Michigan but living in LA, has racked up almost 5 million hits so far and has made headlines throughout the globe.

After the video was uploaded, various Youtube users cast doubt on the authenticity of the clip.

User MrTedMcForehead for example, commented: "This was recorded elsewhere and synced perfectly, after many tries I'm sure. The male impressions were generally quite good, the female ones were incredible. I'm going to say he did half of them legitimately and half of them with a voice changing app, and none of them live."

On his Facebook page, Cantor explained: "It took a lot of practice (and about 40 takes), but I managed to squeeze almost 30 celebrity impressions into the span of one song - “Perfect.” Thanks to Andrew Horowitz for accompanying me on piano, and thanks to you for watching!"

Update July 25 2014: Since the publication of the above article, the artist has come out and explained that his video was indeed a fake, albeit a brilliant one. He has released another video detailing the making of the original song.
