Airline apologises after child urinates in plane seat
āOur team reached out directly to the customer today to offer an apology for her experience,ā said a JetBlue statement.
Jennifer Devereaux told WBZ-TV in Boston that she was denied a request to let her three-year-old daughter use the bathroom while the plane was delayed at John F. Kennedy International Airport on a flight to Boston. After a half-hour wait, the toddler urinated in the seat.
The mother and flight attendant exchanged further words and the pilot turned the plane around back to the gate, announcing it was due to a disobedient passenger.
āIt wasnāt about bad customer service, it was about human decency,ā Devereaux said. āMy daughter was sitting in a pool of urine and I couldnāt do anything about it. And as a mom it just broke my heart.ā
JetBlue said the airline was following Federal Aviation regulations.
