Couple denies killing parents

A couple has denied shooting the wife’s elderly parents who were found buried in their own back garden.

Susan Edwards, 55, and Christopher Edwards, 57, each entered a plea of not guilty to two counts of murder at Nottingham Crown Court,

They are accused of murdering her parents, William and Patricia Wycherley, between May 1 and 5, 1998.

The Wycherleys disappeared from their home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, in 1998.

Police launched a murder investigation after two sets of human remains were recovered from the garden of their home in Blenheim Close, Forest Town, in October.

Autopsies showed both had been shot.
