Police boob in revealing bra sizes
The personal information was emailed to officers by Commander Dwayne Love when he was asked to let them know that their specially tailored clothing was ready for collection. Male and female officers had been measured for safety gear such as bulletproof vests. Commander Love’s email contained all of the measurements obtained, including female officers’ height, weight and bra cup size measurements.
“On the third page [of the email], the females were listed,” said Assistant Chief James White. “Unfortunately and embarrassingly, the cup sizes of the females were listed on that third page, and it was really just a clerical error.”
White maintains the Excel spreadsheet containing the information in Love’s email was sent by accident, calling Love “conscientious” and “very hard working”. White admitted an investigation was ongoing.
“It’s an embarrassing situation, and I’m going to be addressing the issue formally with [Love] over the next couple weeks,” said White, confirming that once the investigation concludes, “there will be corrective action.”
According to some sources, several of the female officers have filed grievances against the department, as well as a complaint with the Equal Opportunities Commission.
One source said that the female officers’ concern is that — innocent mistake or no — they feel “the damage … has already been done”.
