Footballing duo’s father denies sexual assault

The father of Premier League footballer Phil Neville and his retired brother Gary “strenuously denies” an allegation of sexual assault, his lawyer said.

Neville Neville, 63, has been charged with sexually assaulting a 46-year-old woman in the early hours of Mar 23 in Bury, Greater Manchester.

His solicitor-advocate Simon McKay said: “I wish to state clearly that he strenuously denies the allegation.
