Houston, we have a Whitney problem

An air passenger has been arrested after she refused to stop singing Whitney Houston’s hit ‘I Will Always Love You’ at the top of her voice.

Her musical performance from the moment of take-off failed to impress passengers and instead forced an emergency landing in Kansas City, where the woman was taken off the plane and arrested.

Footage of the woman being escorted off the American Airlines flight has since flown about on YouTube.

The flight left Los Angeles last Thursday and was meant to fly non-stop to JFK in New York.

But after two and a half hours of her roaring performance of the song — also recorded by Dolly Parton and which, no doubt, left her fellow passengers with bitter-sweet memories — the pilot decided to land at Kansas City International Airport. “The woman was being disruptive and was removed from the plane for interfering with the flight crew,” said airport spokesman Joe McBride.

The woman was later released without charge.

Still it could have been worse, read one tweet from a passenger. She could have chosen to sing a Simply Red song instead.
