Tia Sharp murder accused in court today

A man will appear in court today charged with murdering a 12-year-old girl whose body was found in her grandmother’s home.

Stuart Hazell, aged 37, is accused of killing Tia Sharp, who went missing in New Addington, south London, more than a week ago.

Mr Hazell is the partner of Tia’s grandmother, Christine Sharp.
